Dol Llan Mansion Luxury B&B

Dol Llan Mansion.
Located close to Llandysul, in beautiful Carmarthenshire, Dol Llan Mansion has been lovingly and elegantly restored, to provide luxury bed and breakfast accommodation for discerning holidaymakers.
There are three spacious and comfortable rooms available at Dol Llan, and each room has an en-suite bathroom with luxury fittings.
The Drunken Suite gets its name from the quirky off-kilter door and floor, and also from the mansions long and sometimes scandalous history for drunken parties! Today, it offers superb accommodation for up to two guests, with a luxury double bed, a flat-screen TV, a superbly appointed en-suite, superfast WiFi and excellent views.
The Rees Thomas Suite is named after a former owner of the mansion, whose diary reveals a life of drunken excess and scandal. Guests can find out more during their stay, as there is a copy of this fascinating diary in each room. The room offers a king-size double bed, a flat-screen TV, and a contemporary en-suite bathroom with a bath and power shower. There is also a chaise longue for guests to relax on.
The third suite is the Major Cass Suite, which is again named after a former owner of the mansion. This suite has a four poster bed, a flat-screen TV, and a luxury en-suite with a power shower. There is also a cosy living room, with a small sofa bed, which can accommodate an additional guest.
Downstairs, guests are welcome to make use of the spacious and comfortable drawing room, and to take breakfast in the Saloon. These rooms have been tastefully decorated in a contemporary style, and offer plenty of space to relax after a days sightseeing. Outside, the house sits in its own spacious grounds, where guests can wander if they wish. Guests can also book private use of the heated and covered swim spa, or play croquet, boules or badminton on the lawns by the house.
Dol Llan is ideally located for both active holidays and more relaxed stays. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy superb mountain biking trails in nearby Brechfa Forest, hiking along the Welsh Coastal Path or on numerous walking trails that criss-cross the surrounding countryside, or kayaking and river swimming at the nearby outdoor centre at Llandysul. A little further afield, coasteering, surfing, bodyboarding, and orienteering are all on offer.
For those wishing to simply take in the sights and enjoy the regions natural charms, there are plenty of options. The charming market town of Cardigan is a short drive away, and is filled with excellent independent food stores and charming boutiques. Just a few miles away from Dol Llan, the National Wool Museum makes for a fascinating visit, exploring this regions rich heritage in the wool trade, with an extensive collection of wool-making equipment and artefacts, and daily demonstrations. For guests wishing to spend a day by the sea, a short drive will take them to any one of a number of stunning beaches, including Newport Sands, Llangrannog, and New Quay.
From a weekend trip to a longer stay, and from a relaxing break to a full-on adventure holiday, Dol Llan offers a warm welcome to all guests, and its five star accommodation is sure to leave a lasting impression.
