Cottage Holidays

Aberffraw held an illustrious place in Ancient Welsh history between the 9th and 13th Centuries, this quiet village was once known as the Capital of North Wales and "the Land of the Prince of Wales", was once an important port, the village now is host to discerning holidaymakers.

The Village

The village includes the venerable Church of St Beuno, a picturesque horse bridge, a selection of Welsh tea rooms and craft shops, a quaint village pub and a beautiful golden sandy beach with fantastic, panoramic views of the Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdonia. Aberffraw makes a great base from which to explore the coastline.

Beaches and Coast

The sand dunes and sandy beach may be the reason to stay here but please venture further on the island to explore the nearby nature reserve at Newborough Warren. Aberffraw is enclosed by sea and sweeping sand dunes ideal for a quiet seaside holiday. Adventure can be enjoyed at the acclaimed water-sports centre at Rhosneigr situated just 4 miles away, or for a relaxing day out visit the award-winning beach at Newborough and Llanddwyn Island.
