Bod Hyfryd Bed and Breakfast

Llaneilian Road, Porth Amlwch, Ynys Mon, North Wales, United Kingdom LL68 9LN

Bod Hyfryd our Amlwch bed and breakfast is Welsh for beautiful dwelling and this charming house couldn't have a more suitable name. Once home to Captain Ismael Williams, who sailed many times from Amlwch Port to South America in the late 19th century, the house has now been lovingly restored to provide luxurious adult only B&B accommodation in two rooms.

The two double guest rooms at Bod Hyfryd are both decorated in a luxurious style, and both have premium quality bed linen and the most comfortable of beds. The two rooms, called Schooner and Rivendell, share a luxury shower room. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, along with complimentary toiletries. There is free wifi available, and a flatscreen TV in each room.

Breakfast is available until 10.00 am, and includes a full Welsh breakfast, as well as lighter options and some additional treats such as omelets or seared halloumi with roasted tomatoes on toasted brioche.

Bod Hyfryd is situated just on the edge of Amlwch, on the gorgeous island of Anglesey. Its a short walk of around 15 minutes into Amlwch, where guests will find a couple of good pubs serving food, as well as a cafe and a fish and chip shop. Further afield, there are plenty of great restaurants and pubs serving food, with something to suit all tastes and budgets. In the Trearddur Bay area, for example, The Black Seal, right on the beachfront, is a great place to enjoy excellent British cuisine, whilst The White Eagle at Rhoscolyn offers an exceptional gastropub experience that has won it many fans.

Anglesey is one of Wales real gems, with so much to see and do there. Of course, the beaches of Anglesey are one of the main attractions, with so many to choose from to suit both families with small children and surfers and watersports enthusiasts. The two beaches at Rhosneigr are perhaps the most popular on the island, but there are so many smaller beaches and hideaway coves to discover, that guests are spoiled for choice. The coastal path is a great way to explore on foot, and there are plenty of inland footpaths and trails to discover too.

Beaumaris Castle is not to be missed, and other top attractions include Plas Newydd House and Gardens, the Copper Kingdom Centre at Amlwch, the ancient site of Bryn Celli Ddu and Anglesey Sea Zoo.

Whether you want to relax on the beach or get out and about sightseeing, Anglesey has plenty to offer, and Bod Hyfryd makes the ideal base for a short break or a longer holiday on this wonderful island.
