If its the slower pace of life you're after when visiting Porthmadog, stay at Greaves Wharf House.

Enjoy High-quality amenities and accommodation in this single storey cottage, originally part of the Wharf Masters house enjoys a fabulous position adjacent to the slipway into Porthmadog harbour. It has been renovated to a very high standard and provides superb accommodation.

The lounge/dining room has an electric pebble fire, Italian leather furniture, a dining table with a window seat and chairs, large TV with BT package, DVD and CD player. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is a separate utility area with a washing machine and seperate dryer.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobe, oak chest of drawers, bedside tables, and a TV. The second bedroom has two 2'6'' beds that can be linked to provide a king size if required, oak wardrobe, a bedside table, and a tall boy.

Bed linen and towels are provided.

The bathroom is fully tiled with a tower shower over the bath, toilet, and wash hand basin with a mirror above and a shaver socket.

There is no garden, there are some lovely public seating areas within yards where you can sit and enjoy the harbour. There are also two parking spaces for guests.

Underfloor and electric panel radiators keep the house warm; electricity is included in the rental.

A travel cot and high chair can be supplied. Note the cot only fits in the master bedroom.

Up to two small well behaved pets are welcome.

There is free wi-fi for access to the internet and BT TV is available free including entertainmant channels and catch up TV.

Many lovely eateries are located near Greaves Wharf House. Yr Hen Fecws is very close to the Porthmadog cottage and serves mouth-watering breakfasts and lunches. The town, which is just a short stroll away, has a wide range of restaurants, pubs, and shops. During summer months, there is a market on Fridays that sells fresh produce.

As you holiday in Porthmadog, take time to explore the area and enjoy its beautiful attractions. Sit on the harbour wall and gaze at the constantly changing tidal flow or travel two miles down the estuary and see Black Rock Sands in Morfa Bychan. The large sandy beach has a backdrop of sand dunes and is popular with kite surfers and kite-buggies. During low tide, you can explore the exposed caverns, rock pools, and the rocky headland. If walking is your thing, visit the Porthmadog countryside and check out the numerous trails available. Take a walk to Portmerion and see magnificent views of the mountains of Snowdonia. Or try one of the 6 routes that lead to the summit of Mount Snowdon. The Porthmadog cottage is in a brilliant location for the Llyn Coastal Path, also a hub for walkers. Steam railway enthusiasts will be delighted by the Welsh Highland Railway and Ffestiniog Railway. The stations operate on different routes and are just a short distance from the cottage. Another major attraction worth checking out is the Italianate village of Portmeirion which is just a short drive away. It was built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in the style of an Italian village and has served as the location for many films and television shows. Venture further and see Criccieth with its famous 13th century castle. Set on a headland between two beaches, it might just take your breath away. The village of Beddgelert is also worth a visit. Set beside River Colwyn and Glaslyn in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, it provides easy access to Snowdonias walking country. Other major attractions in the area include the stunning castles of Harlech, Caernarfon, and Conwy; all World Heritage Sites.
