From the gorgeous waters of Cardigan Bay to the awe-inspiring raw beauty of Snowdonia, this corner of Wales has much to be proud of.

Criccieth itself is a charming seaside town with a sheltered, southerly aspect that appeals to visitors both young and old. Criccieth Castle stands proudly above the town, and offers stunning panoramic views across Cardigan Bay. Dolphins, porpoises and grey seals are common in the waters off Criccieth, and boat trips from Criccieth and nearby Pwllheli allow visitors the chance to get a closer look, for a truly memorable experience. The town has plenty of restaurants and cafes, with The Poachers and Dylans both highly recommended. Criccieth wouldnt be Criccieth without Cadwaladers Ice Cream Parlour, and an ice-cream (or two!) is top of every visitors list.

Theres plenty of family fun on offer in the area, from the thrills and spills of Zip World at Blaenau Ffestiniog to the outdoor activities on offer at the Coed Y Brenin Forest Park. Children will love the zoo at Anglesey, the Farm Park at Harlech and Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm, which is just a couple of miles from Criccieth. Of course, the Llyn Peninsula boasts mile upon mile of beautiful beaches too, so holidaymakers are spoilt for choice when it comes to sun, sea and sand.

Walkers and mountain bikers love the Llyn Peninsula, with its miles of paths and trails. Cyclists can choose from a leisurely coast to coast ride from Porth Dinllaen to Pwllheli, or go for a more challenging off-road ride on the technical trails in Coed Y Brenin.
