Stroll to the Black Lake, historic ruins, or head to Wales Coastal Path and explore Snowdonia National Park.
Detached 1800s cottage with panoramic views in beautiful Cwmystradllyn. Tucked away in the countryside though shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants are a short drive, ride, or stride to the harbour town of Porthmadog or Borth-y-Gest a coastal village on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Explore the many footpaths over the hills with lakes, reservoirs, and historic ruins, or join the coastal path which leads to fine sandy beaches. Snowdonia is within easy reach with a myriad of footpaths and cycle routes, link golf courses, and attractions such as the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, Portmeirion, and Harlech Castle. An all-year-round destination with special events, walking, climbing, fishing, boating, cycling to name but a few activities on offer.
Take off your boots and coats on the porch and walk into the cottage which is full of interesting objects and period charm, with beams, a quirky staircase, and floors. The spacious kitchen/diner is a delight to cook in with all the thoughtful little extras. The well-equipped kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, wood-burning range oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Enjoy a meal in the dining area, with parquet floors and a large dining table for everyone to gather around, open the French doors to the patio area and enjoy the view. Continue through to the cosy lounge with its stylish chairs and sofas, cosy wood burner, Smart TV, and DVD player. After a full day out make the most of the contemporary shower room with shower and WC or bathroom with shower over the bath and WC and retire to one of the four beautiful bedrooms.
As you head outside there are lots of places to relax, enjoy alfresco dining and embrace the view. Walk up the steps to the glass-fronted balcony with comfortable chairs, table, and charcoal BBQ, or relax on the grass by the babbling stream, take time for tea and cakes on the paved patio with table and chairs or unwind in the hot tub. The games room with air hockey table and darts board is located at the end of the cottage with its own entrance. If you are keen on cycling or canoeing there is a secure store with wash down and drying facilities. Ample parking is available at the property and very much improved WiFi was recently installed.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
