Old Castle Farm Guest House Brecon

Our family run guest house is ideally situated in the heart of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. We have nine bedrooms which are all ensuite and are serviced on a daily basis. The rooms have colour TV, radio, complimentary basket of tea, coffee & biscuits.
The guest house is an old farm house which dates back to at least the 1850s. It is said that it was the main farm for the castle of Brecon in medieval days. Some of the rooms still have the original beams as in our comfortable lounge.
We have our own private car park with a lock up garage for those with bikes. Also drying facilities for walkers.
Brecon golf club is just 300 yards from our front door and Cradoc golf club is just 3 miles making us an ideal place to stay for those looking for a golfing break.
The old market town of Brecon is just a 10 min walk. In the town there are a number of attractions to choose form including Brecon Cathedral, Militaria Museum which commerates the famous battle of Rorkes Drift immortalized by the film Zulu, theatr and the Brecon to Monmouth canal & Leisure Centre.
The town of Brecon is situated in the middle of the Brecon Beacons National Park. There are numerous things to do in the National Park. There plenty of walks for you to chose from with maps available from the Mountain Centre. There are a number of pony trekking centres and bike hire shops for those who want to try mountain biking. Ideal for team building
During August Brecon holds its world famous jazz festival attracting visitors and performers from all over the world, while Builth Wells Famous for the Royal Welsh Show is just a few miles away. Hay On Wye is famous for its second hand bookshops and annual book festival.
