Ty Newydd flats are a converted barn that was used to house the police carts and horses for the jail next door.Tremadog, on the border of the Snowdonia National park is the birth place of T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) and Shelly used to stay in the area which is were he go the inspiration for his works.
The Village was built up in 1806 by the Madoc family who use to mine slate from Blaenau
Ffestiniog to ship round the world from Porthmadog (Madocs Port) .

Electric is pre payment meter. Cards are brought from the house at £5 each.
All bed linen is supplied
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement but must not be aloud on beds or furniture and must not be left in flats unattended.

Within the mountains and the quiet River Valleys there is much to be enjoyed : Riding on narrow gauge railways, Walking, Pony Trekking, Climbing or Pot holing. You can take the local bus service or your car to the many coastal towns with sandy beaches or sailing and water sport facilities. There are also many fine Castles and Gardens open to the public as well as Sea Zoo, Woollen Mills, Potteries, Hydro Electric Power Station, Slate Caverns and Copper Mine. There is something here for everyone.
