Harlech is situated in an area of outstanding beauty within the Snowdonia National Park and is an ideal centre for visiting place of interest: Caernarfon Castle, Snowdon with its mountain railway, Portmeirion the Italian type village, the Slate Caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog and the narrow gauge railway at Porthmadog to name but a few.
