Bryn Gwyn Self Catering Holiday Cottage is a Welsh stone cottage on a 12 acre smallholding just outside Caernarfon, set in the foothills of Snowdon above the village of Waunfawr.(wine-vhour), near Caernarfon
The area is quite rural with superb panoramic views , which overlooksCaernarfon Castle, the Menai Straits and far across the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. To the rear of the cottage are the mountains of Snowdonia, with the distinctive Elephant Mountain off to the right.
There is a large and safe well kept garden, and ample car parking space. Bryn Gwyn makes an ideal base for walking, sight seeing, horse riding, fishing, both sea and river and is only 4 miles from the ancient and historical Royal Town of Caernarfon. There are clean golden beaches a short drive away.
The cottage itself has been sensitively modernized to retain its unique character, while providing the best of modern facilities, including full central heating. There is a large well equipped farmhouse kitchen and dinning room, with a washer dyer, fridge freezer, microwave and electric cooker. The modern bathroom has both shower and bath and the comfortable lounge is large and cosy, colour T.V and a video recorder.
There are 3 bedrooms, one double and one single on the ground floor and one twin bedded double room with 2'ft 6" beds upstairs. Bed linen and electricity are both included in the price. Access from our parking area is about 20 metres along a gravel path, and then down 4 steps to the door.

The Welsh Highland Railway has re-opened the line from Caernarfon to Waunfawr and various narrow gauge steam trains run back and fourth to Caernarfon 3 or 4 time a day. The local station is conveniently placed in the grounds of the village Brew Pub.
Eventually trains will go all the way to Porthmadog through the Snowdonia National Park. There are many attractions to entertain and delight the visitors within a radius of a few miles.
Ideal for couples and families.
