Three uniquely different cottages, each full of individual charater set on our organic farm in the heart of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Each is quiet, private and peaceful, yet really convenient as a base to visit local attractions os just to savour the mountains of Snowdonia and beaches of Aberdyfi. This is ideal walking or cycling country with a wide variety available within a short distance of each cottage.
ABERHIRIAETH FARMHOUSE - SLEEPS 7
A truly magnificent farmhouse, parts of which date back to 17th century, set in beautiful gardens with a wealth of wildlife eight miles from Machynlleth. Full of charming character with original oak beams, slate floors, period fireplaces and a woodburner set in a wonderful inglenook with its original breadoven still in place.
Steps lead down into the typical farmhouse style fully equipped oak kitchen which is located in the old part of the house. It accommodates a dining table and has an Aga, electric cooker and microwave. There is a seperate pantry for the fridge and freezer and a washing-machine and tumble drier are set in the utility.
With 2 spacious comfortable lounges, each with TV/ Sky/ DVD player, there is also a third relaxing lounge with a wide variety of books and games provided.
Upstairs there are four large bedrooms, a master with king-size bed, two with double beds and one single. All bed linen and towels are provided. Please bring own linen for cot. As the family bathroom is set in the old part of the house steps lead down into the bathroom with shower over bath. There is an extra cloakroom and toilet downstairs.
HENDRERON HOLIDAY COTTAGE SLEEPS 6
A lovely cosy holiday cottage set four miles from Machynlleth which accommodates 6 people. Here you will discover an abundance of wildlife and many walks can be taken straight from the door, it is also located on the Sustrans Way.
There is a large comfortable family lounge with oak beams and open fireplace in the inglenook. Sky TV/ DVD /Video player. An all electric kitchen equipped to the highest standard, with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher with washer/drier in utility.
There are three bedrooms, a double, a twin and full size bunks in third bedroom.
All bedlinen and towels are provided. Please bring own bedding for cot. Downstairs bathroom with shower over bath with extra cloakroom upstairs.
LLWYN- Y GRONFA FARMHOUSE SLEEPS 6
A beautifully restored farmhouse set in scenic countryside with lovely views over the surrounding farmland. All its original features of stripped pine doors and stairs, beams and slate floors have been carefully kept and enhanced while all modern conveniences have been included to ensure cosiness and comfort. Quiet, peaceful and secluded yet easily accessible. It is set 4 miles from Machynlleth.
There is a large, comfortable and airy family lounge with a woodburner to keep you warm and cosy during those chilly nights. There is a dining room, with the original beams in place and a slate floor with a huge rug. There are some really lovely views from the window. This also can be used as a lounge and has a woodburner.
The new oak fitted kitchen with its slate floor is excellently equipped with the usual array of kitchen crockery, utensils and modern appliances. There is an inbuilt electric oven with induction hob, a fridge freezer and dishwasher.
Upstairs there are 4 spacious bedrooms tastefully furnished, 2 doubles and 2 singles. All bedlinen and towels are provided.
There is also a family bathroom with shower over bath.
The washing machine and drier are located in an utility which as it is lockable can be used for cycle storage.
Heating for Aberhiriaeth and Hendreron is by storage heaters and there are also extra heaters provided. There is also an oil-fired Aga at Aberhiriaeth which is in use during the summer and winter.
There is gas central heating installed at Llwyn-y-Gronfa.
All prices quoted include all heating, lighting, beds made up with fresh bedlinen, towels and during the winter months a basket of complimentary logs is provided. Additional logs may be purchased.
