Tan Aedroch Farm Holiday Static Caravan

Our single caravan is part of our working Welsh hill farm situtated in the stunning Lledr valley. With the river running past the bedroom window and views of the hill sides and woodland of the Gwyddr forest this makes a beautiful, tranquil holiday setting.

Our campsite ( Camp Snowdonia) is situated some distance away fromn the caravan. It is one of the oldest campsites in Snowdonia receiving rave reviews in Cool Camping and U Tube. Never the less it remains a peaceful and unspoilt site, a spot where families can camp next to the river and enjoy evenings around their own campfires.

There's lots for everyone to do. Children can play in the river, scramble over rocks, explore the woods or talk to our free range chickens, sheep and cows. Adults can find walks, bouldering and cycling from the doorstep. Both the Penmachno and Betws-y-Coed mountain bike trails are easily accessible.

The major attractions of Snowdon, Port Marion, Bodnant Gardens, Conway Castle and coastal beaches are a short drive away.

The modern caravan is set in it's own fenced garden area, making it safe for young children.

Raised decking around the caravan, with garden table and chairs, will ensure you catch the sun and make the most of the views.

The caravan is clean, modern and spacious. It sleeps 6, providing two bedrooms, a separate shower and toilet,

A well equipped kitchen area with gas cooker, fridge, micro wave, toaster and a range of kitchen utensils will satisfy the most dedicated cooks.

The comfortable lounge has a TV/Video, radio, CD player and cosy gas fire.

Gas and electricity is included in the price.

Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a lead whenever they are outside.. our free range chickens are important members of our community and don't like being bitten or chased!

Tan Aeldroch Farm is one mile from Dolwyddelan .. a true Welsh village providing pub, tennis courts, restaurant and a well stocked Spar.

The Farm is two miles from Betws-y-Coed where there are pubs, restaurants and shops to suit all tastes. Golf enthusiasts can try Betws's challenging and characterful golf course.

The River Lledr is well stocked with salmon and sea trout ...we have seen some big ones caught this year. Day tickets are available in Dolwyddelan.

Car free visitors can travel to the Farm by train, which stops 20 minutes walk away at Pont-y-Pant, or by bus. ...drivers have been known to let passengers off at the farm entrance.

Directions

Two miles from Betws-y-Coed on the A470. If approached from the A5 turn onto the A470 sign posted Dolgellau. After two miles pass under a big railway viaduct. Tan Aeldroch Farm is 6/10th mile after the viaduct . Decend a steep road, on the left, marked with blue road signs warning of a weak bridge (don't worry its solid and strong) to the bridge which crosses the River Lledr. Drivie up the short hill to see the caravan on your right.
