As soon as you walk into our entrance hall with its magnificent galleried Victorian staircase and blazing log fire in winter, you will feel immediately at home. Whether you are staying with us for a while, enjoying a meal in the restaurant or bars, it is our aim to make you feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed.

In both our restaurant and bars we provide the best of freshly cooked food prepared from many local ingredients and produce. Menus are changed daily to reflect the best of the days market. Our wine list presents interesting examples from around the world supplied by North Wales wine merchant of the year. We also take pride in serving well-kept real ales.

The Abbey is the perfect setting for any special occasion from a candle light dinner for two, a family gathering or a wedding celebration for 100. There are also well appointed meeting rooms and private dining rooms for those important occasions that require discretion and privacy.Built as a gentlemens residence in 1850 on the site of the original 13th century Cistercian Monastery. The hotel is set back in it's own picturesque gardens with al fresco seating yet remains in view of the A470 which is the principal route to Snowdonia, Conwy, Llandudno and surrounding areas. Llanrwst is just two miles south and Betws Y Coed 3 miles beyond. The world famous Bodnant Gardens is 4 miles north.All 14 of our en-suite bedrooms are equipped with remote controlled televisions, hair dryers, direct dial telephones, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities.
