Cilgwri is 8 miles from the popular town of Bala and within easy reach of the picturesque market town of Ruthin, the inland resort of Llangollen and the National Park of Snowdonia. Both North and West coasts are less than 1 hour's drive away and we are convenient for numerous outdoor activities such as white water rafting, sailing, kayaking & canoeing, orienteering, windsurfing and many more.
Guests' facilities include a spacious bedroom with luxury en-suite shower room, a dedicated sitting room with flat screen TV, DVD, Wi-Fi and multi-fuel stove. Guests are welcome to make use of the patio area and barbecue. Breakfasts include home-made bread, cereals & preserves, eggs from our own hens and honey from our own bees. Other items are locally sourced and organic when available.
The house is accessed via a long, gated driveway. It is a sympathetically modernised stone long house and is packed with character and original features. A picturesque brook runs past the house and the animals kept at the smallholding include hens, ducks, sheep and honey bees. Anyone interested in birds and other wildlife will appreciate the small, natural woodland and the part of the grounds that has been reserved for wildlife.
