The Holiday Cottages are situated 2 miles from the A40 at Canaston Bridge and 1 mile from the historic village of Llawhaden with it's castle in the heart of Pembrokeshire. The self-catering property is in a country lane amid peaceful countryside, which is ideal for either a an activity holiday or relaxing - it is entirely up to you as we are able to offer both. We welcome weekly bookings, short breaks and weekend breaks as well as corporate bookings(2 nights minimum).
The renovated farmhouse has been cleverly designed to be flexible holiday accommodation. It can be booked as two separate properties - Ha'Penny Pool which sleeps 8+ and Good Looks which sleeps 4. For large families or group of friends the Farmhouse can be booked as one big holiday house that can sleep up to 14 guests by being completely interlinked on both floors with sufficient dining space in Ha'Penny Pool for everyone to be able to dine together. Hence it is perfect for family get-togethers and celebrations. The property has recently been lovingly restored to its former glory, combining the best of traditional materials and craftsmanship with the best of new green technologies. The result oozes charm, quality and efficiency.
The farmhouse has six bedrooms in total and all with en-suite facilities (4 king size doubles and 2 twin bedded rooms). One of the double bedrooms is on ground floor with walk in shower, grab rails for those with impaired mobility. The entire house has luxurious under-floor heating powered by an eco air source heat pump and in winter is complimented by solid fuel stoves if required. Sink into the Italian leather sofas and enjoy a movie night on state of the art HD TV and DVD.
Children's Play Areas
For children, Potterslade provides ample space for safe outside play and adventure in the grounds, garden and yard which are all laid out to lawns for ball games. The smooth concrete area around the farmhouse provides a platform for ride-on toys, scooters and trikes for the little ones, whilst the private lane and yard provide stress-free, traffic-free cycling for children a little more independent.
The private grounds at Potterslade boasts acres of space for children to explore and a 15ft diameter trampoline with safety netting, a six piece swing set and every manner of ball game, including croquet.
The Games Barn
Families can now enjoy a host of indoor activities following recent renovation of farm outbuildings. Play table tennis, bar-football and skittles or let the youngsters have fun in the soft play area. The games barn provides an ideal place for children to meet other holiday chums and it gives that extra space to hangout when the weather decides not to play ball.
