Garn-y-Mul Cottage; a beautiful and characterful St Davids self catering holiday cottage Sleeping 6
Garn-y-Mul is a attractive fully modernised holiday cottage with an extension to the rear consisting of a large, light kitchen and downstairs shower/cloakroom. It is 400 yards from the nearest neighbouring cottage and is in an elevated position, not far from a tiny stream with distant views of St. Bride's Bay to the south from the upstairs windows.
A NEW feature is PV Solar Panels, which will enable free electricity when the sun is shining.
Located one mile from the village of Croesgoch, which is itself 6 miles north of the beautiful city of St. David's, 2 miles from the harbour of Porthgain (home of the popular Sloop pub and The Shed bistro) and nine miles south-west of Fishguard. The cottage is just three miles from the sea. The whole area abounds in varied sandy beaches, rocky inlets and picturesque harbours. The magnificent expanses of Newgale and Whitesands beaches are both less than 10 minutes drive away and are renowned for their excellent surfing, particularly in September and October.
Set in a wild-flowery lane, enjoying a variety of wild life and birdsong, the cottage has two bedrooms, one with double bed, one with two single, adult sized, bunk beds. There is also a put-u-up in the living room which can sleep 2 more. A cot is available. Please ask if it is required. There are 2 bathrooms, one with bath, upstairs, one with shower, downstairs.
The cottage is equipped with a colour television, DVD player and radio. The excellent Square and Compass Spar mini-market is also a garage and is about two miles towards Fishguard, selling coal, logs and a wide range of goods.
The cottage is looked after by a local caretaker who comes in between visits to clean, read meters and check inventory; the grass is also mown regularly.
Please note pets are not permitted, with regret.
