A warm welcome awaits visitors to The Globe B&B Newport, a charming 300 year old Welsh stone cottage which was a licensed inn until 1932. It has been tastefully restored by the owner to provide one double and one twin room accommodation with use of a roomy and well appointed guest bathroom. Both bed rooms have tea/coffee making facilities and TV, bath robes are supplied for guests use. A Substantial Continental breakfast is served in the dining room at any time to suit guests requirements. Guests staying more than one night are free to come and go as they please and treat the house as home.
Location: The Globe is centrally located in the mediaeval town of Newport within easy walking distance of pubs, restaurants and shops and is 300 yards from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Local pubs and restaurants provide extensive menus, including locally caught sea bass, sea trout, lobster and crab. Glorious scenic walks can be made from the house which take in coast, estuary and mountain, all in the Pembrokeshire National Park.
Activities: include water sports, golf, tennis, horse riding, cycling, both sea and river angling and bird watching. The town contains art galleries, craft shops, a pottery, antiques, book and coffee shops. Within easy driving distance are Celtic monuments, a recreated bronze age settlement. Norman castles, wildlife trails, the beautiful Gwaun valley and much more.
To Find: Approaching from Cardigan on the A 487, upon entering the town you will see the Golden Lion Inn, painted vivid yellow, on the right. Travel 40 yards to a small crossroads, turn left and The Globe is the first house in the left.
Approaching from Fishguard on the A 487 travel through town passing a petrol station and the Castle Hotel on the left. Straight over the crossroads 30 yards on from the Castle Hotel, travel another 60 yards and turn right at the next small crossroads and The Globe is the first house on the left.
