Nestling in peaceful, picturesque countryside on the border of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire This 19th century farmhouse offers cosy, comfortable and relaxing Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Bwlchmelyn is situated just outside Llanfallteg in an elevated aspect overlooking the valley in which the village is located. Derrick and Sarah James look forward to welcoming you to Bwlchmelyn where you can enjoy a tranquil 'home from home' break, away from the stresses of modern life. Enjoy a home cooked welsh breakfast, freshly prepared from local produce served at a time that suits you. Our informal relaxed atmosphere allows you, if you wish, to arrive for breakfast in your dressing gowns which are provided for your comfort. Each room has tea/coffee making facilities, bottled water and home made cookies! You are welcome to enjoy morning coffee in the dining room, outside in the gazebo overlooking our pond or in the summerhouse where we will also provide you with a choice of daily papers. We also have a Spa, gym and bicycles which are available for your use. Afternoon teas are available with a choice of home made cakes including traditional Bara Brith, Welsh Cakes or Scones with Jam and Cream. Bwlchmelyn B&B lies in an unspoilt rural area surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and stunning colourful landscape.Walks from our door allow you to do a circular walk or follow the bridal path down to the village. The path winds down the hill, past the local pub and continues along the River Taf. We are a 20 minute drive from the coast but are also surrounded by an abundance of places of interest including local farms producing everything from cheese to chocolate and paintings to hand made crafts. However you decide to spend your well earned break, at the end of each day, home cooked evening meals will be available at Bwlchmelyn farmhouse...........Your peaceful retreat! During your stay here you are welcome to take advantage of any of the treatments available including Shiatzu, Reflexology and a variety of Massages including Aromatherapy, Holistic Therapy or Hot Stone, Facials, Manicures, Pedicures and Hair Cut and Styling. We also have an outside Spa which has been elevated on wooden decking in order to enjoy the views as you relax and unwind. Or, on a clear night, being gently massaged by jets of water at a temperature of 40 degrees whilst gazing at the stars is just pure indulgence. There is also a separate, heated shower room for you to use before and after using the Spa. Toiletries, towels and dressing gowns are also provided for your comfort. Tariffs Our rates vary throughout the year and are based on the type of room you require. Prices start at £35 per person per night and include a full Welsh Breakfast.
