In its several centuries of existence, it has been a Coaching Inn, a Farmhouse and since 1968, a privately owned Hotel offering a high standard of comfort and friendly hospitality.

Steeped in history, the story of Abbeyfield Hotel goes back over 200 years to C18.
There is documentary evidence of the "Tal-y-Bont public house and land" known as the George and Dragon dating back to 1803, when the tennants were John Owen and Owen Ellis, probably renting from the Penrhyn estate.
Prior to this, circa 1760 there was a working farm, again belonging to the
Penrhyn estate.
It is regretted that in fairness to other guests no pets can be allowed in the hotel.
The accommodation comprises of 10 bedrooms, each with private en-suite facilities, a family room is also available, telephone and clock-radio with colour T.V. and tea making facilities.
