Llwyndu Mawr Farm Bed and Breakfast in beautiful North Wales is situated in its own extensive grounds in a delightful rural setting hugged by the Snowdonia mountains with a fantastic view of the whole of Caernarfon Bay. It is within walking distance of Penygroes village for shops and pubs.
The 200 year old Farmhouse is fully centrally heated, has en-suite and shared facilities and also a secluded garden surrounded by trees.
We are a working sheep farm and visitors are welcome to view and participate in the sheep farming activities which vary throughout the year. We are known as the "funny farm" owing to our sense of humour and the sight of ducks chasing the sheepdog and chickens looking at you through the windows!
We have comfortable bedrooms which are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and free-view TV. There is an attractive dining room for breakfast and evening meals, with an attached conservatory for tea and coffee afterwards or a cosy lounge with open fire for relaxation. Each guest has their own key and can come and go as they please.
Walkers and cyclists are catered for with ideas and maps of local routes, we welcome motorcyclists with covered secure area for bikes. Pets are also welcomed. Buses from the nearby village give good access to a wide area, the nearest train station is Bangor, and we can arrange transport from there.
A full Welsh breakfast is available, special diets are catered for e.g. vegetarian and gluten free. All food is freshly prepared with our own lamb and eggs, pork and beef obtained from free range smallholdings locally; all other food is purchased locally and where possible, free range.
