Mynydd Mawr Caravan and Camping Site Aberdaron
Featured in such caravan and camping guidebooks as 'Cool Camping: Wales' and 'Campsites with Great Sea Views', Mynydd Mawr Caravan and Camping Site is situated near the village of Aberdaron right at the far end of the Llyn Peninsula, North West Wales.
Set in area of outstanding natural beauty, Mynydd Mawr Caravan and Camping Site enjoys stunning sunsets and panoramic views of the coastline around Cardigan Bay and overlooks the historic and beautiful Island of Bardsey, a place of historic significance and the destination of pilgrimage over the centuries.
The Llyn Peninsula Coastal Path and the historic pilgrims route passes through the adjoining headland which is the westernmost point of North Wales and a popular attraction ideal for walks and excellent for fishing.
The picturesque village of Aberdaron is approximately 1.5 miles away, where you will find shops, pubs, cafes and bakery, and a wonderful sandy beach. Whistling Sands is another popular nearby beach. The market town of Pwllheli (market held on Wednesdays) is 18 miles away, and Abersoch, popular for its watersports and nightlife is 12 miles away.
On site facilities include a cafe, we have also completely refurbished our toilet/shower block for 2015, which comprises of Gents, Ladies, Disabled/Family Room with a washing-up area and a freezer for your ice packs, electric hook ups, several waterpoints and a chemical disposal unit. Campfires are allowed but must be in a container and off the ground. Dogs are most welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Our cafe serves breakfast, light snacks, afternoon teas with selection of homemade cakes, ice cream and refreshments.
