Visit the Alice in Wonderland Centre and travel down the rabbit hole, reliving the adventures of Alice, the real Alice - Alice Lidell spent her childhood summers in Llandudno. The North Wales Theatre (renamed Venue Cymru) at Llandudno has top shows throughout the year, seats 1500 and is air-conditioned. Many of the Llandudno hotels also offer day and evening entertainment. Eating Out is a real treat with restaurants offering international cuisine. Llandudno is also North Wales' prime shopping destination with many famous stores as well as small independent stores offering unique experiences.
In 2002 the Great Orme Tramway celebrated its centenary, yet each year thousands of people still take immense pleasure in travelling to the summit of the Great Orme in an original early twentieth century tramcar. Others prefer to wind their way around the headland, admiring some of the most strikingly beautiful and dramatic scenery, which is visible only from the Marine Drive. This four mile shelf was cut out of the sheer limestone cliffs in 1878 and is designed for vehicles and walkers alike. Alternatively, it is possible to catch a bus in St Edward's Square and go on an informative and visually rewarding sight-seeing tour of the Orme.
During the summer months take advantage of the coach trips that leave from Llandudno daily to visit other interesting and beautiful parts of North Wales, for example - the lovely Isle of Anglesey (Mother of Wales), Snowdonia and its breathtaking scenery, Caernarfon and its castle and Portmeirion's Italianate village - to mention just a few.
How could you fail to enjoy a holiday in Llandudno where there are activities and attractions for all the family.
After a wonderful day out and about, return to your accommodation of choice, whether it be a Hotel, Bed and Breakfast, Guest house, or Self catering appartment or holiday cottage.
