We are pleased to offer a warm & friendly welcome to guests seeking quality 4 Star Welsh Tourist Board Bed & Breakfast or Self Catering accommodation in the heart of the countryside. With walking, cycling, and riding from our doorstep, the Brandy House offers endless opportunities for exploring the surrounding hills and nature reserves. Self-guided outdoor breaks are available, as well as stabling and grazing for your horses. In its idyllic rural setting nestled into the hills above the village of Felindre, mid-way between Knighton and Newtown in the Heart of Wales, Brandy House is the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing break.

This Newtown Holiday cottage mid Wales is beautifully converted from a traditional stone barn, has its own secluded garden including patio and a charming terraced area. Thoughtfully decorated and furnished to a high standard, the interior is enriched with many exposed stone walls and traditionally made oak ledge and brace doors. Uniquely designed to be used as either two or three bedroomed, it is self-contained and has oil-fired central heating and double glazing throughout. The entrance hall leads to an open plan fitted kitchen (fridge, dishwasher, microwave, electric hob & oven) and on to a comfortable sitting and dining room with cast iron electric stove and french windows to the patio and enclosed terraced garden

Stairs lead up to a bathroom (WC, basin & shower) and two bedrooms with sloping roofs. The master bedroom with double bed and sofa bed has a lovely en-suite bathroom with a corner bath. The other bedroom is a pretty twin bedded room with views over the garden and fields beyond. The optional third bedroom on the ground floor is accessed from the hall and is cleverly designed for use as either a double or twin en-suite room.

Your holiday cottage will be ready for you by 4pm on your day of arrival. You will find the beds made up as you requested, towels provided, and a complimentary grocery basket in the cottage containing: 2 pints of milk butter, cheese, eggs, baked beans, cooking oil, salt & pepper, sugar, coffee, tea, cereal, marmalade, bread

A freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are available for you to use in our separate utility room.

Sorry but we are non-smoking in both the house and cottage.

This is an excellent place to stay for both outdoor activities and discovering the ruins and ancient towns & villages of the Welsh/English borderlands. For the ramblers, cyclists and riders among you, delightful bridle-paths and walks lead from the doorstep up on to wonderful open hills and nature reserves where there are endless opportunities for walking, cycling and riding. We have stabling and grazing available for guest's own horses.

B&B Accommodation

Whatever you choose to do whilst with us, we offer modern standards of comfort in a beautiful & traditional setting, with a choice of twin, double, four-poster or family rooms. The Four-Poster room and Hayloft room are both located within the farmhouse, while the Terracotta room is in our barn conversion. All have been carefully furnished with attention to detail and have en-suites. There are tea and coffee-making facilities in each room, as well as a selection of books & magazines and a colour television so that you can relax and unwind.

B&B per person per night is from £30.00
In the morning we will serve you with a traditional Aga-cooked breakfast, and would be happy to prepare you a packed lunch. For evening meals, there is a choice of several pubs within the valley or further afield.
