Glansevern Hall Gardens
Glansevern Hall Gardens is well worth a visit and one of very many Welshpool Tourist Attractions.
The gardens are noted for their collection of unusual trees, many in a lakeside setting. The path around the lake passes through mixed woodland, under planted with flowering shrubs. Ornarnental shelters provide resting places on the way. The lakeside walk passes through a water garden profusely planted with Bergenias, Hostas, Candelabra Primulas and other water-loving plants. An iron footbridge crosses the upper end of the lake, offering views down the entire length of the open water.
Closer to the house are formal gardens with lawns, herbaceous beds and borders. An ornamental fountain is enclosed by a pergola, festooned with Wisteria and other climbing plants.
