Yr Hen Stablau Cottage Machynlleth
Yr Hen Stablau (welsh for Old Stables) is an 1840s stables lovingly converted into a relaxing and comfortable holiday cottage in the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park, over looking the Dyfi Valley and close to market town of Machynlleth. The aim of the conversion was to conserve a beautiful old farm building and create an environmentally friendly building.
The cottage is set in the beautiful gardens of Pantlludw between a mountain stream and banks of rhododendron and azalea.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms which sleep six, including one double room with wheelchair access.
The wonderfully secluded setting makes Yr Hen Stablau ideal if you want to relax, paint, read or write.
It is also an great base for a more active holiday. This area of Snowdonia offers easy access to climbing, walks, sandy beaches, golf, bird watching, narrow gauge railways, art galleries and shops.
Accommodation
On the ground floor guests will find a charming sitting room with French windows leading to a slate terrace with woodland views. The spacious kitchen/dining room has modern fittings, high ceiling and original beams, attached pantry and farmland view. The ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible and also has a double bedroom, shower room/WC with heated towel rail, hall, lobby and underfloor heating.
The first floor has a landing, two twin bedrooms with original beams and a WC with heated towel rail.

Pets welcome but dogs must be kept away from the sheep in neighbouring farms.
