Cae Madog is a 19th century barn, which has been sympathetically renovated to provide luxurious and spacious accommodation, whilst retaining its period charm.It has its own heated swimming pool and games room.
It has breathtaking views over the Cambrian Mountains and the sandy beaches of the Dovey estuary are close by. Clywedog Lake and the world-renowned Centre for Alternative Technology are a short drive from the barn, and the busy market towns of Aberystwyth, Newtown and Machynlleth are only a short distance away. The local village of Llanbrynmair (3 miles) has a shop, post office and pub.
There is a very spacious family lounge with a stunning inglenook fireplace, a woodburning stove (logs provided) and amazing views. This leads into a dining room, which seats up to 16 (+ high chair available). The family kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, range cooker and microwave.
Off of a small hall is a shower room/w.c., and up a short flight of stairs is the second sitting room/study, with natural stone walls, slate floor and a woodburning-type stove. There is a T.V. with a DVD player and an X Box with a selection of games.
Leading off from this room is a pretty double bedroom, with a double bed and natural stone walls.
The first master bedroom is stunning, with exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling. The third bedroom is a twin, with a second bathroom in this wing of the house.
Stairs from the kitchen lead up to a study/hallway, off which is the second of the master bedrooms. This one is ensuite, with a bath/shower. A large children's bedroom with 2 bunks (sleeping 4 people) is also on this level. Further stairs lead up to bedrooms 6 and 7. Bedroom 6 has 2 single beds and bedroom 7 is a large double. A fourth bathroom is located on this floor.
Heating and hot water are provided, as are all bed linen and towels. A cot and high chair are available, and pets are welcome by arrangement.
Outside there is parking for up to 5 cars. At the rear of the property is a patio and barbeque area leading to a lawned garden with a private heated pool, having scenic views across the Cambrian Mountains.
