The Swan at Hay Hotel
As a previous coaching inn, the hotel is packed with character, from the original Georgian windows overlooking the garden, to the cobbled stable block to the rear.
The bedrooms are full of charm and character, all different in shape and size. Some have views of the beautiful garden, while others have period features. All rooms are decorated to the same high standard, with en-suite bathrooms and their Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, DVD players, flatscreen TVs and generous tea tray.
A delicious full Welsh breakfast is served between 8:00am and 9:30am in the dining room. Everything is locally sourced and you can even make your own muesli.
Hay-on-Wye is the perfect place for a few days away. If you want a really relaxing break, then you need look no further than the shops. There will be something for everyone, from the world-famous bookshops to the exciting boutiques and markets
If you prefer a more active break, take advantage of The Swans wonderful location, nestled between The Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons. It is also moments away from The Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Rarely will you be spoilt for choice with such wonderful walks, all with breathtaking scenery. We work closely with several local activity companies that we would be happy to liaise with to help you get the most from your time away.
