You can be sure of a warm welcome from your hosts Lynn & Gary and family at Derwen-Deg their beautiful B&B Brecon Beacons accommodation in Mid Wales. We are situated 10 miles west of the market town of Brecon in a small pretty country village known as Trecastle. A couple of minutes walk away there is a pub and a hotel, both of which offer a warm welcome and excellent food and drink.

What better place to explore this fascinating and unspoilt area of Mid-Wales, being within the Brecon Beacons National Park we benefit from the wonderful scenery and quiet country life associated with the area.Also an idea location to try out Pen-y-Fan,for those feeling a bit more adventurous,or one of the other beautiful walks available within the Brecon Beacons or the surrounding Black Mountains.

The Brecon Beacons Offer a rich Diversity in waterways for kayak and canoe enthusiasts, from the fast flowing white water of the River Usk to the tranquil calms of Llangorse Lake and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Other pursuits close by you may wish to enjoy include, sailing, gliding,golf, pony trekking, climbing, and of course walking the many miles along the paths that cris-cross the beautiful landscape. During the day you can often watch the red kites soaring over head or a 10 minute drive takes you to a feeding station where you can watch 20-30 of these magnificent birds being fed. Also nearby is picturesque reservoir where you can fish, cycle, walk or just admire the scenery.

A stroll round Brecon may bring you to it's famous small cathedral or to it's indoor market. You could perhaps take a canal boat trip and end up with a pre-show meal before an entertaining evening at the lovely new theatre. The town boasts a splendid range of shops including a number of large supermarkets. In August it holds its world famous jazz festival attracting visitors and performers from all over the world. Also nearby is Builth Wells Famous for the Royal Welsh Show. And if you enjoy good books then a visit to Hay On Wye is a must, Famous for its second hand bookshops and annual book festival.

These are just a few of the things to occupy you on your pleasant stay here in the Brecon Breacons.

You will find us nestled amongst the hills between the small villages of Sennybridge

and Llandovery and just a few miles west from the market town of Brecon in the heart

of Wales. Follow the main A40 west, upon on entering the village of Trecastle you will

see the Castle Coaching Inn Hotel on the left hand side, immediatetly after this (still on

the main road) there is a lane also on the left take this turning and we are about 50 metres on the left.
