Our Welshpool B&B accommodation at Lane Farm Farmhouse in Criggion offers guest accommodation within the beautiful scenery of the Breidden Hills, a picturesque Welshpool Bed and Breakfast
We pride ourselves on extending a very warm welcome to all our guests on our 400-acre organic family working beef and sheep farm. Nestling beneath the tranquil Breidden Hills, where wildlife abounds, in the picturesque Severn valley.
Approximately 12 miles from Shrewsbury, 9 miles from Oswestry and Welshpool. Lane Farm is a perfect base to explore, The Shropshire Hills, Shrewsbury, Chester, Oswestry, Ellesmere, Welshpool, The Marches and Mid-Wales borders.
We are within easy reach of mountains, lakes, castles, stately homes, beautiful gardens, museums and the coast. With wonderful peaceful roads, wild open spaces and spectacular scenery, driving to any of the attractions is almost as nice as arriving.
Our guests are welcome to return at any time from their exploring to relax and enjoy
the peaceful location.
The newly built extension to this farmhouse was completed in June 2000 and comprises of four en-suite spacious modern rooms. All the rooms have central heating and have been furnished with pine furniture, TVs, beverage trays, radio alarm clocks and comfortable chairs.
The B&B rooms have the advantage of being able to add an extra single bed and all have space for a travel cot. Two of the bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, one having been designed with the less agile visitor in mind, offering extra wide doorways, drive in shower (no shower tray), slightly lower toilet with grab rails to the side and a lower wash basin with lever tap. A full access statement is available upon request and for added safety the whole property has a fire certificate.
The beamed dinning room with its large communal table is in the original farmhouse. A substantial farmhouse breakfast is assured using local produce and when possible our own eggs.
A good selection of local pubs offering evening meals are just a short walk or drive away. We have ample safe parking for cars, bikes and trailers.
Whilst you are welcome to walk around our 400 acres, please remember this is a working farm with animals and moving machinery, children must therefore always be supervised.
Private free fishing is available on the River Severn; you will however need to bring your own rods. A wide selection of golf clubs is to be found within a 20 minute drive.
Paintballing, quad biking, laser clays and mountain biking all are available locally.
Families can find fun filled days at numerous venues including Park Hall, Acton Scott Working farm and Shropshire Secret Hills Discovery centre.
