The peace and wildlife haven of the house and grounds, with its brilliant starscape exposed at night has no street lamps to dim the brilliance of the night sky. In the town (just down the Station Road) hundreds of people sit out in the square and in the park to enjoy drinks and music after the many outdoor events, visited in LLANWRTD WELLS by mountain bikers, motorbike and car rally drivers, Horse riders, and Walkers, as well as general tourists. The town is also in close proximity (15mins by car) to the ROYAL WELSH SHOWGROUND.
