Ynysfaen Campsite Brecon
Ynysfaen Campsite is a small family-run campsite just two miles from Trecastle and a few miles west of the Mid Wales market town of Brecon in the Beacons National Park.
kingfishers, Chickens, foxes, owls, red kites, bats, and otters, are just a few of the creatures who share our land so we do all we can to keep it looking nice for and for you.
Its is all about peace and tranquillity We are not into late nights so we ask that campers keep to a no loud noise policy after 10.30, but we love early mornings. So if waking up to the sound of the River Usk that borders our field, red kites calling overhead and chickens gently clucking appeals, then Ynysfaen is your kind of place.
We like to think were a little different from most other campsites in the area. We offer
Camping, not caravanning tents and trailer tents are most welcome, but no motorhomes sorry!
Canvas, not cars - sorry vehicles are not allowed onto the camping field, mainly for the safety of children and who wants to sit in a car park on holiday? barrows are provided to transport belongings onto the field and we are always willing to lend a hand, just ask we are very friendly and helpful!
Quality, not quantity we love sardines but only on toast, so youll have plenty of room to pitch your tent.
Seclusion, not isolation Ynysfaen may feel far from the madding crowd, but theres plenty of civilisation nearby, too.
Warmth, without fuss - we provide a firebasket and chopped wood and kindling for those chilly evenings at a cost of £5
Simplicity, not luxury we have a modern shower and toilet block, and covered washing up area with hot and cold water, but no electricity hook-up or shop. However, you can buy free range eggs laid by our chickens and salad and vegetables are available when in season. And for £3, well lovingly make you a hearty bacon roll if you want to fuel up for the days activities.
