Three luxury 4 & 5 star West Wales cottages full of characeter set in a stunning rural location with panoramic views over the Teifi Valley in the Cambrian Mountain foothills...just 15 miles to the beautiful Coast and beaches of Cardigan Bay.
The cottages in Lampeter Ceredigion are all well equipped with Logburner, full C.H.,dishwasher,fridge, freezer,big bath & separate shower,own garden terrace,free Broadband. TV/DVD.
Central for excellent MTB trails, good walking. Fishing and golf.
All Holiday cottages have the following included:

Lampeter
Our West Wales Cottages are only 2 miles from the attractive market town of Lampeter. The original name of the town was Llanbedr Talybont Steffan, meaning "The Church of Peter at the end of Stephen's Bridge".
The town grew around a small ecclesiastical settlement, and by the 13th Century was a town of some significance in the Teifi Valley, with a Royal Charter, castle, market and fair. Part of the Manor of Lampeter, it thrived as a commercial and market town serving the needs of the rural community. The population was only 300 in 1728, but with the arrival of the College and the railway, had reached 2000 by the late 19thC. The town was incorporated as a Municipal Borough in the 1880's, and is now an agricultural, commercial and University centre with a unique history and strong sense of identity. The town is the hub of a wide range of tourist attractions.
Retail and food therapy
Discover individual shops, many in business for several generations. Personal service and customer satisfaction are still a priority. All the shops are close to one another, offering a relaxed and hassle free shopping experience. There are three supermarkets and a great variety of pubs and eating places. These will satisfy any craving for food and drink, ranging from fish and chips, through good quality pub fare, to more exotic international and oriental cuisine.
University of Wales Lampeter
The oldest University in Wales was founded by Bishop Burgess of St. David's in 1822. The University offers a mix of traditional and modern courses, and is pioneering Internet teaching. The extensive grounds are open to the public, while the Old Building houses the unique Founder's Library and the Chapel, a "must see" for visitors. The University adds a unique cosmopolitan atmosphere to the town.
Dylan Thomas lived in Plas Gelli, Talsarn, during the war, where he was inspired to write haunting poems such as "A Winter's Tale". He often stayed in the Castle Hotel, and spent hours walking the College grounds and singing with the rugby team. He was involved in a sensational trial in Lampeter Courtroom in March 1945.
Lampeter hosts many annual events, including Lampeter Shears, Lampeter Food Festival (both in July), Lampeter Stallion Show, Carnival, Lampeter in Bloom, Agricultural Show, Women in Tune Music Festival, Eisteddfod (all in August), Firework Display (November), Town and Gown Christmas fair, and Christmas Celebrations (both in December).
