The proprietors, John and Denise Scanlon at Pontypridd B&B Central Guest House are locals with immense knowledge of the area. They offer a warm Welsh welcome and a hearty breakfast which is locally sourced.
Pontypridd is famous for its rich industrial heritage and landmarks like The Old Bridge, The Round Houses and Castell Coch.
More recently its rugby team, golf club and University have brought the area up to date, and in terms of recreation it offers a variety of bars, public houses and restaurants.
Pontypridd has fostered many great voices; Sir Geraint Evans, Stewart Burrows and of course Tom Jones, who lived just two streets away. Whilst the Welsh National Anthem was also written and composed here!
