Llys Llewelyn is a newly renovated rural holiday complex offering self catering holiday cottages and studio holiday apartments situated in the coastal village of Aberffraw on the West coast of the Isle of Anglesey, and close to one of Anglesey's best beaches. This corner of the island boasts a unique heritage and is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - perfect for fabulous coastal and forest walks, cycling tours, exciting water sports or relaxing on clean safe beaches. Whether you wish to relax and go as you please or to enjoy an active break trying out new outdoor activities, Llys Llewelyn is the perfect base.
Llys Llewelyn offers two types of accommodation - 4 modern studio units and 3 traditional Welsh cottages, all furnished to the highest standards, all exceptionally clean and comfortable.
Holiday accommodation at Llys Llewelyn comprises of three traditional Welsh Cottages named after historical figures from Anglesey’s past - Dwynwen - the Welsh St Valentine, Siwan the wife of Llewelyn ap Iorwerth and Branwen the daughter of Llyr, and her brother Bendigeidfran crowned king of Anglesey, both characters from the Welsh tales of the Mabinogi.
There is also studio style accommodation again so named after local myths and legends - Tŷ Owain, Arthur, Mabon and Cwyfan
Each cottage and studio is furnished to a very high quality and is graded by the Wales Tourist Board as two and three star accommodation and Bwthyn Branwen is fully accessible for guests with mobility problems.
Located on the doorstep of one of the best beaches in Anglesey Llys Llewelyn is the jewel in the crown of South West Anglesey.
Visitors to Llys Llewelyn can enjoy the convenience of a cafe serving snacks and delicious homemade cakes. Opening hours for the cafe are usually 10.00am till 4.00pm five days a week and six days during the peak summer season. The cafe is part of a scheme run by the local authority to train people with learning disabilities to cook, serve and communicate with each other and members of the public. A buffet service is also available to visiting groups and groups who use the office and meeting room facilities. Breakfast and packed lunches for visiting groups are also available if pre booked. l
The site does offer a laundry service (extra charge) and each cottage boasts a digital box with internet access (extra charge for internet use).
A gift shop and exhibition gallery is also open and this is also a tourist information point where visitors and guests can browse on-line, print out a selection of leaflets and pick up any additional information they require to enhance their stay.
In the Village itself there are two shops and a pub within 100 yards, there is also a choice of shops, pubs, takeaways and restaurants in Rhosneigr, 4 miles. |
