The Superb selection of coastal cottages can be found on the Carreglwyd estate on the Isle of Anglesey. The estate was established over 100 years ago. Since then it has slowly evolved and now offers Self Catering Holiday Accommodation overlooking the spectacular and undiscovered sandy Borthwen Beach.
The Borthwen Barns on the Anglesey Coastal Path
The Borthwen Self Catering Barns are situated on the West coast of Anglesey, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
They are a two minute walk from the family friendly Borthwens Sandy Beach and rock pools at low tide. The Coastal Footpath passes only meters away and leads on to other secluded coves and beaches such as Church Bay, which is famous for The Lobster Pot restaurant. The barns are also excellently positioned for water-sports, walking, bird watching and horse riding.

Beachcombers
The beach hut (now Beachcomber Cottage) started out as a bathing hut for the occupants of the great Carreglwyd estate over 100 years ago. Beachcombers is in an enviable location with the tranquil beach as its garden! There are luxuries within the former bathing hut such as a Flat Screen High Definition television, DVD player, in addition to the basics such as a dish washer, washing machine/dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, hair dryer, iron/ironing board and health and safety equipment, such as smoke alarms.
Beachcomber Cottage Sleeps 5
The Gamekeepers Cottage & the Stable Loft are tucked away within a large 500 acre Carreglwyd country. Originally the gardeners cottage, this residence has evolved to offer airy and bright self catering holiday accommodation within peaceful surroundings, with a great view of the Victorian walled kitchen garden. Internally, the stairs are crafted form local wood and the kitchen is rustic with slate work tops and heated via a Rayburn range.

Borthwen Farmhouse
The coastal and country views from Borthwen Farmhouse are fantastic. The award winning Blue Flag beach at Church Bay is a few coves along with the infamous seafood restaurant, The Lobster Pot, Wavecrest caf and Church Bay Inn. The village of Llanfaethlu provides a local shop, caf and a little fish and chip takeaway. For larger shops, Holyhead is just seven miles away and provides a great starting point for trips to Dublin too.
Sleeping 10 guests comfortably over the five bedrooms and with plenty of bathrooms, this is a great holiday home for a large family gathering. The house can also provide ground floor accommodation only in lower season at a reduced rate for couples.
