The Outbuildings
Formerly a barn and granary, some 200 years old, The Outbuildings is a restaurant with rooms tucked away in the open countryside on the south-west corner of Anglesey. This rural setting, just minutes from some of the Island's best beaches, has spectacular views of the mountains of Snowdonia and the Lleyn. The Outbuildings is a wonderful place to escape to for a quiet break, or en-route to Ireland. It is easily accessible just 15 minutes from a main-line train station and 10 minutes from the A55 Expressway across North Wales.
Each of the four luxurious en-suite bedrooms, and the Pink Shepherd's Hut, has been individually designed by the owner, Bun, who has a great love of colour as you will see! Every detail for guests' comfort has been thought of - wonderfully comfortable mattresses, bed linen from The White Company and Cologne & Cotton and a blend of antique and contemporary furniture, WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TVs and complimentary soaps handmade locally.
For something a little different, why not stay in our purpose-built Pink Hut? A shepherd's hut located in the grounds with wonderful mountain views, all the modern day comforts, en-suite shower room plus a cosy little wood-burning stove - the ultimate romantic retreat!
The cosy and inviting dining room, complete with sofas and an inglenook fireplace, offers a small menu using only local, seasonal produce. Oysters and mussels travel roughly a mile, sampphire is picked on the marsh at Malltraeth, and meat is sourced from local farms. The best lobster, crab and sea bass for miles is delivered fresh from the Lleyn, all served in this welcoming unpretentious dining room.
A tennis court is available for all guests to use, we have some rackets and balls available.
Situated on National Cycle route No 8 between Cardiff and Holyhead, miles of walks direct from the door and just a short distance from the Anglesey Coastal Footpath and Plas Newydd, The Outbuildings is perfectly located for exploring the Island, its beaches and many attractions.
