ANGLESEY- What to do
Anglesey is not just a relaxing and beautiful island with lots of beaches and wide open spaces. Anglesey is a wonderful place to visit and just chill out in the quiet stillness of its surroundings, and it is also full of unusual and interesting things to see, and places to visit.
There are over 70 sites on Anglesey where you can view megalithic monuments left to us from prehistoric times. Standing stones and burial chambers are everywhere. We have 2 beautiful pieces of architecture in our bridges at Menai, the objects of many a cameras aim.
If you like beaches we are an island and are surrounded by them. You could try Benllech or Lligwy or if you're into your watersports Rhosneigr is 20 minutes drive away or even the Plas Menai National Watersports Center which is only 20 minutes away.
We are 5 minutes from beautiful Red Wharf Bay, offering renowned eateries and 3 miles from Benllech.
The main town of Llangefni is 5 minutes drive away.
30 minutes drive and you're in the beautiful Snowdoinia mountain range - for the adventurous amongst you.
There's plenty to do with the kids, beaches and walking if the weather's nice and if it's raining there are loads of indoor activities.
If it's National Trust type properties that you're interested in then what about Plas Newydd or Penrhyn Castle.
