Lovingly restored from a former victorian village school-situated in this pretty hamlet (Within the borders of Snowdonia National Park North Wales), between the seaside resort of Cricceth and the popular town of Porthmadog.
Penmorfa Holiday Cottage Porthmadog The Old School House offers stunningly beautiful self catering holiday accommodation for upto five adults and a child on the Llyn Peninsula North Wales.
The holiday cottage is set in a wonderful area of Wales. This stunningly beautiful cottage offers the very best that you would expect from top quality self catering accommodation. Sorry no pets allowed.
Dating back to c.mid-1850s this cottage which was once part of the village school oozes charm and this combined with all the modern comforts makes for a perfect retreat for a get away from it all holiday or short break. The ever popular resort of Cricceth with the lovely beach is approximately 10 minutes drive and there is a good choice of shops/pubs and restaurants serving meals and why not spoil youself and enjoy an ice cream delight at the famous Cadwalleders ice cream parlour. At Tremadog literally only 2-minutes by car or 10 minute picturesque walk on a public footpath has a good choice of shops/pubs and a restauraunt. Porthmadog home to Welsh Highland steam railway with Spooners Cafe Bar is no more than a 5 minute drive away. The Steam Railway is now open through to Caernarfon.
Visit Borth Y Gest with its picturesqe views and walk the coastal path and enjoy the sandy coves and walks on the beach.
Gas, Electricity,( Heating in Season) and hot water are all included. Towels not supplied.
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATION
First floor consists of two bedrooms and one bathroom.
Bedroom one has a double bed and bedroom two has 2 single beds, both bedrooms are elegantly decorated and furnished. Beds are made up for your arrival for the number of guests booked.
All bed linen supplied.
The bathroom has a walk in shower unit, toilet and washbasin.
Please bring your own towels as these are not supplied.
There is a small bedroom situated on the ground floor with a single bed. (From end of February onwards)An ideal room for holiday makers who have difficulties negotiating stairs. (Bathroom is on the first floor.)
KITCHEN
Open plan kitchen / dinning room which will comfortably sit six people around the dinning table. Kitchen includes a dishwasher, two fridges, microwave, gas oven and hob & washing machine. A high chair is provided for infants.
LOUNGE
Open plan lounge with feature fire place inc, Log burning stove. Logs for stove are only supplied for full week bookings in heating season only. The Cottage does have Electric Heating in heating season only. Colour T.V. Freeview/ DVD player. Beautiful 2-piece suite and Armchair. All very cosy.
GARDEN / PATIO AREA
Well stocked garden/patio area.
If the weather is good why not sit outside on the patio and admire the views over the surrounding hills and overlooking Porthmadog and Tremadog.
Perhaps have a barbeque and relax after a good day out. Barbeque available for your use but Charcoal not provided. (Loan of the barbecue is at the users own responsibility and risk) Please do not allow childern to use this appliance due to risk of burns.
A welcome pack will be provided for your arrival. (Tea /Coffee/ Biscuits/ Milk) A complimentary bottle of wine is provided for full week bookings only.

There are 4 Excellent Golf Courses within easy reach of the Cottage.
Golfers,Walkers ,Hikers and Cyclists are all very welcome and secure storage is available.
Rock Climbing directly behind the Cottage.

Terms and Conditions
The Hirer agrees not to sub let the cottage and is occupied only by the number of guests booked by the hirer. ( Beds will only be made for the number of guests booked) It is the hirers responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the cottage. The Cooker and Hob must be thouroughly cleaned along with all pots,pans and cuttlery and left in the same clean way as you found it. All breakages or damage must be reported immediately and either replaced or paid for by the hirer. It is also the hirers responsibility to ensure that children are supervised at all times and not allowed to jump around or misuse the furniture. Any breach of these rules will terminate the contract without recompense to the hirer.
