Welcome to Nantyfelin Holiday Apartments overlooking Criccieth Beach and Cardigan Bay in the pretty seaside village of Criccieth in the Snowdonia National Park. Nantyfelin is situated on Portmadoc Road in the centre of the village.
Nantyfelin Ground Floor Apartment,
This apartment is entered by the main front door and leads into a large and spacious hallway which is wide enough for a wheelchair as are all the doorways.It is centrally heated with gas heating. Sleeps up to 6+ people, with 2 ground floor bedrooms sharing a bathroom and one double ensuite bedroom on the first floor.
There is a large airy twin bedroom and a pretty double bedroom on the ground floor both overlooking the gardens and then over to the sea, castle and mountains. They share a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath but no shower .These rooms are ideal for people with walking difficulties as there are no steps at all in the property.
The first floor bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite shower room.This room has wonderful sea,mountain and a great view of Criccieth castle.
The lounge has comfy settees and chairs to recline and relax in and the sea views from the windows are superb. There is a television and dvd player and a living flame gas fire for use in the cooler months.
The dining room/morning room has table and chairs seating 6+ people and the Welsh dresser and old bells used for calling the servants still hang from the wall in this room and date back to 1900.The enclosed gas fire with living flame in this room makes it cosy and warm during colder days but it is always lovely and cool in the summer months. Once again there are sea views from this room.
The kitchen has plenty of workspace and has electric cooker, fridge , microwave oven, dishwasher and all the usual modern requirements for easy catering. There is a separate utility area with washing machine and freezer.
The bathroom does not have a shower only a bath but we can offer the use of a shower room on the first floor if preferred to a bath but there is an extra charge for this.
The apartment has full gas central heating.
The Top Floor Apartment.
This apartment has its own entrance at the rear of the main house using the servants staircasel.There is a suberb lounge overlooking the sea,mountains and a fantastic view of Criccieth and Harlech castles and when the castle in Criccieth is lit up at night the view is exceptional.
The lounge has comfy armchairs and settee with colour television and dvd player.
The large kitchen has seaviews again and all requirements of a modern kitchen, washing machine, gas cooker,dishwasher,fridge/freezer and microwave cooker as well there is a table and chairs and lots of crockery etc.
The double bedroom on the first floor has a double bed and a shower in the room with a wash hand basin and toilet across the landing to the bedroom.
The stairs from a small landing lead to another 2 bedrooms, a twin and another double bedded room and these two rooms share a shower room which is also on this floor.The twin has a sea view and the double a garden view.
Both apartments are self contained and you do not have to go through one to get to the other!!
Both are gas centrally heated
All bedlinen is supplied free of charge but neither kitchen or personal towels are included.
Strictly non smoking.
Bookings are usually Saturday- Saturday on the ground floor apartment and Friday -Friday in the top apartment but we do offer other day arrivals on short breaks.
Private parking in the grounds.
Special and short breaks are available during the year so please enquire if you have a request for a certain requirement and we may be able to help.
Gas and electricity are read by meter readings on arrival and departure and charged at the current gas and electricity boards current price per unit.
There are reduced rates for smaller groups and we also offer a special rate for seniors.
This area of North Wales has much to offer in the way of amenities and interesting places to visit and explore.
Portmeirion Village the well known Italiate village and dream of Sir Clough Williams-Ellis is 6 miles from Criccieth and certainly worth a visit as it was where The Prisoner was filmed some years ago.
Blaenau Ffestiniog has the slate caverns and you can ride a train into the deep cavern and see how the miners mined for the slate in the dark.
Caernarvon has a wonderful Castle where Prince Charles was made the Prince of Wales by his Mother the Queen. There is also another great castle to explore at Harlech which can be seen from the apartment windows.
Betwys y Coed has wonderful waterfalls and spectacular scenery as does Capel Curig and Llanberis where Snowdon stands proud into the skies. There is a railway track that runs up the mountain or you can climb to the top and enjoy the fabulous views of the lands.
