Llyn Peninsula Holiday Chalet near Aberdaron - For your holidays and short breaks, get away from it all in our comfortable self catering holiday chalet just outside the beautiful coastal village of Aberdaron, known as the Lands End of Wales. Well furnished and attractively decorated, it offers a clean and cosy place to stay, situated in a peaceful location down a track 200 yards off the road.

Calm and serene setting, standing in its own landscaped gardens of approx 1/4 acre and surrounded by fields, with distant views out to sea, where on a clear day you can see Ireland. There are 2 seating areas in the gardens with table and chairs, gas barbeque, and a large lawned area, plus car parking space for two cars and secure storage area for bikes, etc.

The 3 bedroomed accommodation comprises 1 double, 1 single and 1 large size bunk-bed. The bathroom has a bath with over shower, and wash hand basin, and there is a separate w.c. In the lounge/diner there is a dining table with seating for 5 (plus highchair on request), 2 setees, flatscreen TV with satellite freeview, DVD/CD, WIFI, play station, radio, and books, jigsaws and games are also available. The fully equiped kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave, toaster and fridge with small freezing compartment and a separate freezer in the porch area. The chalet also comes with safety deposit box, hairdryer, heated towel rail, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner and a washing machine and tumble drier are also available for use.

The heating is via an electric convector fire and radiator in the lounge area, fan heaters in the bedrooms, and unlimited hot water via a gas water boiler.

The Llŷn Peninsula offers some of the best scenery in the country, and yet is relatively undiscovered, most of the surrounding area is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are many unspoilt lovely sandy beaches within easy reach which are the perfect ingredient for any family holiday - with one of the nearest being the famous Whistling Sands of Porth Oer. The Llyn Coastal Path is right on your doorstep, this footpath follows the coast of the peninsula and is nearly 100 miles in total, from Caernarfon in the north to Porthmadog in the south. Much of the coast is now owned by the National Trust, allowing access to the spectacular clifftops and headlands. We supply an Ordnance Survey map of the local area, and local tide times and weather forecast specific to your stay.

Nearby Aberdaron offers shops, cafes and pubs, as well as it's own fine sandy beach. Mynydd Mawr at the tip of the peninsula enjoys beautiful views across to Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island), some two miles offshore. Bardsey Island is now a conservation island for birds and seals with daily local ferry trips, when the weather is fine - well worth a trip to appreciate the island's facinating heritage and wildlife.

Also close by on the peninsula are the popular resorts of Abersoch, Pwllheli and Nefyn. Abersoch is famous as a centre for all kinds of watersports and has some good restaurants, whilst the market town of Pwllheli offers a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as it's award winning marina and beaches. Nefyn also has a sandy beach, and nearby Morfa Nefyn is famous for its pub on the beach at the small fishing hamlet of Porthdinllaen. Porthmadog, 45 minutes away is home to the Ffestiniog Railway with steam train rides to the heart of Snowdonia, with Portmeirion village and gardens just outside. Snowdonia is a scenic 45 minutes drive to experience a different world of towering mountains, deep river gorges and peaceful lakes. The island of Anglesey lies about an hour's drive to the north.

The local area has not been over commercialised and is therefore ideal for those looking to get away from it all. There are many lovely walks in the vicinty and places of interest to seek out, the whole coastline is dotted with secluded, clean, sandy beaches and secret coves and this location should prove to be an ideal base for families and those interested in relaxing, walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching. We let the chalet for a maximum number of 5 to avoid overcrowding, and in order to maintain the chalet to a high standard we ask guests to arrive no earlier than 2.00 p.m. on your day of arrival and you are asked to vacate by 10.30 a.m. on the day of your departure. You will be informed if these times can be varied dependant upon occupancy.

Unfortunately, we do not acccommodate smokers or pets, and families with small children should be aware that there is a stream within the garden area which has been fenced off.

All bedding and tea/hand towels are provided but guests are requested to provide their own personal towels, and gas is included in the price. Electricity is charged at a standard rate via the chalet's own metered supply.
