Self-Contained East Wing of a Gorgeous Medieval Country Hall, just 2 miles from the pretty seaside village of Aberdaron. Sleep 7. Sorry no pets. This property is available to let for the very first time during 2011 and is sure to prove very popular with holidaymakers to the area.
This self-contained wing dates back to c.14th Century and is set on a working cattle and sheep farm and has a HUGE garden to the front of the Hall ideal for children to play safely . The garden has a small swing, timber playhouse etcplease note that the owners who live in the West Wing have children and on occasions share the use of the garden.
There is a legend that a tunnel leads from the Cellar of the property to a hidden bay in Aberdaron which was at one time used by pirates to smuggle salt a rare commodity in medieval times. There is a public footpath that leads all the way to Aberdaron and the village has convenience stores, two pubs/restaurants as well a wonderful sandy beach. Numerous other beaches within an easy drive (e.g. Whistling Sands, Hells Mouth, Penllech Beach) and the property is within easy driving distance to the popular seaside resorts of Nefyn/Morfa Nefyn and Abersoch.
Children (as well as adults!) are welcome to help feed the lambs and chickens and free range eggs are plentiful! Ample parking.
