Porth Ysgo lies within the 'Pen Llyn a'r Sarnau' Special Area of Conservation, and has a diverse range of wildlife and marine habitats. Bottlenose Dolphins, Harbour Porpoises, Grey Seals and the rare Chough, which you can recognise from its harsh call, red legs and beak, can all be observed along the coast of Cardigan Bay. It's a haven for walking enthusiasts with magnificent coastal and mountain walks and ideal for biking, bouldering, bird watching, fishing, swimming, diving or simply just sunbathing and having fun.
The village of Aberdaron, situated on the very tip of the Llyn Peninsula, renowned for its scenery in an area of outstanding natural beauty and its award winning beach is only 2 miles away. Amenities at the village include a grocery store, newsagents, bakery, post office, 2 cafes and 2 popular pubs/restaurants offering lunchtime and evening meals. Not far is Porth Meudwy, a little fishermans cove where a four mile boat trip will take you to the Holly Isle of Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island); details can be obtained from the Bardsey Island Trust or through Enlli Charter.
Porth Neigwl beach (Hell's Mouth), which is one of the best surfing beaches in North Wales, located only a 10 minute drive from Ysgo, is a Green Coast Award beach; 4 miles long with excellent water quality. The popular village of Abersoch with its many fashion stores and cafes is also only a 15 minute drive away, where the large, sheltered bay provides ideal conditions for windsurfing, sailing, power boating and jet skiing. You will find golden sands, and everything form long stretches to secluded coves, all within a few miles of Ysgo.
Pwllheli our busy market town with its impressive new marina and two glorious beaches is only 13 miles away. Wednesday & Sunday is market day in Pwllheli, where there is always a bargain to be had. Also in the town centre you will find many shops and supermarkets, selling everything you will need for your holiday.
Much of Llyn is rolling countryside, with many hills all worth a climb, like Mynydd Rhiw, Yr Eifl, Garn Fadryn and Garn Boduan to name a few. Why not set yourself the goal of conquering yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Wales's highest peak, during your stay? All the hills give stunning views over Llyn and on a clear day Snowdonia, all of Cardigan Bay and Anglesey up to Holyhead Mountain.
Our static holiday caravan has its own private and secure garden with decking, BBQ facility and garden furniture for outside dining with views overlooking the countryside towards the sea, and ample parking space just outside.
The caravan is clean, spacious, comfortable and sleeps 4/6. It has two bedrooms; one double with an electric heater and one twin room, and the seats in the dining area can be made up into an extra double bed. The bathroom has a shower, with toilet and wash basin. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, toaster, kettle, gas cooker with oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, all crockery and utensils. The lounge is of a generous size which has a flat screen digital television with built in dvd player, a radio/cd player and a gas fire.

GUEST COMMENTS
Please find below a selection of comments taken from the 'Visitor/Comment Book' received during our first year of letting in 2010;
'We have really enjoyed our stay here. The location is superb and to sit on the decking looking out to sea was very relaxing. We have had a great holiday.' Julie & Phil - May 2010
'Thanks for a wonderful short break. Just what we needed, wish we could stay longer. Lovely caravan, it's got everything we need and is situated in a beautiful part of the world. Breathtaking views on the walk down to Porth Ysgo. Took advantage of the hot weather and hit the beach (Llanbedrog and Aberdaron). Hope to see you again; our 4 year old daughter can't wait to come back.' Russ, Lynne & Natasha - June 2010
'I would just like to thank you for such a wonderful holiday. We haven't been on many holidays but this has, by far, been the best. We were overwhelmed by the beauty of the beach and the whole area in general. We will definitely be coming back again.' Hannah, Mat, Kate & Mark - June 2010
'Its a cracking place; we have enjoyed the peace and quiet, the sun, the beaches and the wildlife. Have seen; chough on the coast and here at Ysgo; the ducklings; the barn owl and the cat. Thank you for a good holiday.' Peter & Maureen - June 2010
'We've had a fantastic, relaxing week here on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula. We've had plenty of warm sunshine, dodged the showers and survived a wild windy night when the van well and truly rocked (and for all the wrong reasons!). Scenery and beaches glorious, ridge to left well worth a visit (wild horses, 20+ chough, buzzards, kestrels etc). Porth Ysgo, Oer, Neigwl etc all beautiful. Just to make all complete, real ale in Aberdaron and nightly performing barn owls (and cute cat!). Well be back. Friday 16 July 2010 - Porpoises in bay, fox and hare in field opposite and barn owls again. Great end to holiday.' Mike & Suzanne - July 2010
'We've wanted to stay here as long as we've been coming to Llyn, as Ysgo is our favourite beach. The van is excellent in every way. You could have a great holiday without using the car at all, as there are lots of walks from here and it's not far to Aberdaron. Haven't seen the owls, but Tigger has been a regular visitor; have seen lizards on the way down to the beach; bats around the buildings, quite a few choughs and more butterflies than in recent years. Thank you so much and hope to see you next year.' Andy, John & Jo - August 2010
'This is our second visit and were still hooked it's amazing here, and well be back!' Hannah, David & Ben - August 2010
'Thank you so much for a wonderful week, the caravan is the best we have ever been in. It is so relaxing and peaceful here. We have had fantastic weather. Spent hours on the beaches, going home with a great sun tan. We have enjoyed every minute of it, thanks a lot. Love to come back next year.' Deb, George & Daniel - August - September 2010
'A hidden jewel on the coast. Breathtaking scenery, solitude, restful. Caravan comfortable and clean.' Lewis Family & Co. - September 2010
'A wonderful holiday, peace, quiet and outstanding views. We will tell our family and friends about it. Esyllt and Rob you are a lovely couple, we wish you all the best. See you again.' Sandra & Stan - September - October 2010
'As always, a fantastic weekend. See you soon, take care.' Lin & Steve - October 2010
'First stay in a static, lovely caravan and views, extremely nice owners. Had a great break.' Kenton & Kerry - October 2010
'What a cosy caravan in a lovely place. We came here with our 3 week old boy Howie and had a lovely relaxing time. Porth Ysgo is wonderful, and there are plenty of places to go out and about to see. A home from home. We will definitely do our best to come back. The perfect place to unwind. We even had a clear day to see the summit of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). Diolch.' Kes, Ellee & Howie - October 2010
