Tyddyn Iolyn B&B Criccieth

Criccieth B&B accommodation, Tyddyn Iolyn Bed and Breakfast criccieth, Llyen peninsula bed and breakfast, north wales Guest Houses, porthmadog b and b

Beautiful Criccieth B&B accommodation set in an elevated and idyllic location on the Llyn Peninsuls between the sandy beaches and rocky coves of the North Wales coast and the lush green scenery of the Snowdonia National Park.

Although Tyddyn Iolyn is no longer a working farm, it is now a quality bed and breakfast with stunning views. Built in the 16th Century, with some original oak beams, and steeped in local Welsh history.

Guest Accommodation

All the rooms are separate from the main Farmhouse offering guests freedom and extra privacy.

The Stable sleeps 2 in a king-size bed and can accommodate a single folding bed if required. It has a large en-suite bathroom with beautiful Victorian style bath and separate shower. Located on the ground floor, the Stable has its own front door to the courtyard and a slate patio with table and chairs.

The Stableloft sleeps 2-5, in a king-size bed and separate bunkroom. An extra bed can be made available for larger families. There is a spacious bathroom with Victorian style bath and shower. A private covered veranda with table and chairs overlooks fields and Cardigan Bay.

The Bakehouse is a cosy, detached cottage located on its own just opposite the old farmhouse, and is thought to be originally a "ty un nos" (medieval house built overnight) with exceptionally large local stones. The Bake house sleeps 2 in a double bed, has an en-suite shower room and it's own private courtyard garden known as 'The Piggery'. Small with loads of character. Perfect for that romantic break.

The Barn is located on the ground floor and was originally the creamery in the early 1900s. The accommodation sleeps 2 in twin beds and has an en-suite shower room. The Barn has the advantage of a slate patio with table and chairs and beautiful mountain views.

The Hayloft is a cruck loft with original wooden pegged oak beams and is located above The Barn. The room sleeps 2 in a double bed and has an en-suite bath and its own table and chairs outside.

Guest bedrooms have beverage trays with a selection of teas, both traditional and herbal, coffee, drinking chocolate and biscuits. As our guests, your comfort at Tyddyn Iolyn B&B is our prime consideration, and you can look forward to a warm welcome with a complementary tray of tea or coffee and toasted Welsh Cakes with fruit conserve on your arrival.

Breakfast

Start the day with a traditional breakfast cooked to order using fresh local ingredients whenever possible. A choice of cereals including home made muesli, freshly prepared fruit salad and local yogurt followed by a full Welsh breakfast with sausages and bacon from our butcher here in Criccieth and free range eggs from a local farm.

Why not have Breakfast in bed! You can choose from a varied continental breakfast menu served in the comfort of your own room.

Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for with prior notice.

We provide a large selection of books and guides of North Wales with lots of local information, and we have many years experience of walking in the Snowdonia National Park and the coastline of the Lyln Peninsula and would be pleased to advise you of suitable walks in the area.
