The Bed & Breakfast accommodation is separate from the owner accommodation in the oak-beamed dairy adjacent to the farmhouse.

David & Rosemary have completely renovated the 18th century farmhouse and dairy to provide a tranquil, comfortable and welcoming base for your holiday.

ACCOMMODATION

* Sitting room with wood-burning stove and french doors opening onto private courtyard garden. Snack-making facilities - kettle, toaster and fridge.

* Conservatory accessed from the sitting room overlooks the courtyard and stream with views up onto the hills

* Ground floor double room with spacious en-suite wet room shower;

wide access doors and en-suite arrangement make this room wheelchair friendly.

* First floor double room with extra bed and pull-out mattress with spacious en-suite shower room.

* All bedrooms have TV/DVD player/radio

EATING AT PENRHOS

We use naturally produced meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables.

We can cater for special diets by arrangement.

FACILITIES AT PENRHOS

* Lots of off-road parking and garage space for bicycles/motor bikes.

* Boot room for drying clothes etc after a damp day on the mountains

* Stabling; for those trekking the Beacons by horse/pony, stabling is available at our neighbours 5mins walk from Penrhos.

* Garden and farm walks; we are keen for visitors to look around our gardens, vegetable/soft fruit growing areas and wander over the fields to see the lake and recently planted woodland.

* Visitors are always welcomed by the animals and can help with feeding.

From Penrhos there is direct access to many walks of various grades and distances, including to the top of Pen y Fan. The renown 'Waterfall Walk' at Ystradfellte is 20mins away. Routes can be recommended and maps provided.

OBSERVATORY

Penrhos is a great location for an astronomical observatory with dark skies and good horizons. The telescope is a 30cm Meade LX200 with computer control to enable visitors to see many objects in a short space of time.

If the weather permits visitors (including children) can spend 90 mins in the observatory with David seeing the celestial highlights of that night.
